Upon seeing a car in a parking lot with a bumper sticker saying "In case of rapture, this car will be driverless", a contrarian left a note for the driver, "In case of rapture, can I have your car?"
Good morning, Pastor Brian! FYI, I am Pastor Bob Young, the 80 year old and now “out to pasture” father of your LTSS classmate Pastor David Young. I am so thankful David got me listening to your podcasts and I now am a strong advocate for it and for you with the pastor friends closest to me in my life. Thank you … bless you … for this ministry! Your words open windows for the Spirit to touch my soul … e.g., when you speak of the “gods” who “don’t love us and won’t die for us”, and Jesus’ words from the cross, “Father, let it go.” Please know that I not only support you in this podcast, I also pray for you as you follow to wherever it is that the Spirit is leading you in your life and ministry. One final note. When I was serving in Boone, NC, we had 13 seminary interns over those 15 years. Typically they would ask about my expectations of them. I always told them that the entire ministry of Grace Church was open to them to taste and experience as they explored in what ways they were most gifted to serve. And then I would tell them that my greatest hope was for them to be able to say at the end of their internship year “God did not make a mistake in calling me!” Brian, God got it right in calling you! Out here are many of us who are lifting you up in thanksgiving for who you are and what you do to the glory of God! Thank you! God bless you! Your gifts for preaching are powerful and needed!
Nice job! 👍
